November is Attendance Awareness Month at Milton-Union Middle School. As we are about to start a new month, let's help Milton-Union students build a habit of good attendance early and often.
Addressing chronic absence is a key component of improving academic achievement and giving our middle school students a good chance for success in their adult life.
Chronic absence affects all kids, not just the absent ones.
Each week in November we will run a weekly absence report. Each student that attends school for the entire week (no absences) will receive a raffle ticket that will be entered into a weekly drawing. If your ticket is drawn, you will receive a weekly prize from the Middle School Office during the month of November!

(MUMS) This is the last week of the 1st Quarter, now is a great time to review your student's academic progress through PowerSchool or communicate with teachers. This is a great way to identify if your student has any missing assignments and/or any make-up work that needs completed. Academic success in the first quarter builds positive momentum for the rest of the school year.
