National Signing Day continues at Milton-Union Middle School as we introduce new staff for the 2025-2026 school year. Please help us welcome Mrs. Angie Peltier to Milton-Union Middle School for the 2025-2026 school year as an Intervention Specialist. Mrs. Peltier will join us after graduating from Wright State University in May of 1995 with a Bachelor of Education in Grades 1-8 from Wright State University. She continued with her education and earned a Master of Arts as an Intervention Specialist in 2020 and a Master of Education in 2022 from Muskingum University. Previously, Mrs. Peltier has served as an Intervention Specialist with the Miami County ESC at the Lincoln Community Center, an Intervention Specialist with the Montgomery County Juvenile Court System and as a GED Instructor with the Upper Valley Career Instructor. When not teaching, Mrs. Peltier enjoys spending time with her husband, four daughters, her granddaughter, Beckham, and her three dogs, Crew, Aspen and Bentley. Mrs. Peltier is looking forward 'to the opportunity to make a significant impact on individual student learning and development by providing personalized support and tailored instruction, addressing individual learning styles, as well as academic and behavioral challenges. In addition, she is looking forward to developing meaningful relationships with students, understanding their individual strengths and needs, while creating a trusting learning environment. All student success begins with positive relationships. Please help us welcome Mr. Elijah Walters to Milton-Union Middle School for the 2025-2026 school year as a Mathematics teacher. Mr. Walters will join us after graduating from Wright State University in May of 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in 4-9 Mathematics. He is also a graduate of Vandalia-Butler High School and is currently completing his student teaching at Weisenborn Junior High School in Huber Heights City Schools. When not teaching, Mr. Walters enjoys spending time outdoors. Some of his favorite activities include fishing, hiking, camping, pickleball and golf. He also enjoys spending time with his family as well. Mr. Walters is especially excited to join Milton-Union Middle School this upcoming school year and getting to know all of his students. He looks forward to making learning fun and engaging and cannot wait to be a member of such a great school community!

Yesterday provided a great opportunity for some of our 8th-11th grade student athletes to participate in the Three Rivers Conference Leadership Breakthrough event at the Arbogast Performing Arts Center on the campus of Troy Christian Schools. Our students spent the day interacting with other student athletes from our league affiliates and participated in group discussions on leadership, developing your personal leadership skills and the impact of leadership on your community, school and teams.
