Congratulations to Mrs. Mary August for being named the Milton-Union Middle School Staff Member of the Month for February!
Whether it is a student or a staff member, Mrs. August is always there with an open ear, a willingness to listen and to provide support for her colleagues and students.
On numerous occasions, Mrs. August dropped whatever it is she is doing to assist a student or colleague and is always willing to provide help where it is needed.

Yesterday provided a great opportunity for some of our 8th-11th grade student athletes to participate in the Three Rivers Conference Leadership Breakthrough event at the Arbogast Performing Arts Center on the campus of Troy Christian Schools. Our students spent the day interacting with other student athletes from our league affiliates and participated in group discussions on leadership, developing your personal leadership skills and the impact of leadership on your community, school and teams.
Milton-Union Middle School was represented by the following student athletes: Stella Blackburn, Jordyn Jackson, Zachary Carpenter and Grayson Sanders!

(MUMS) Thursday, February 27th from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM is our 3rd Quarter Parent-Teacher Conferences. If you are interested in scheduling a conference with your student's teacher(s) please email your specific teacher(s) which can be found on the school's website. You are also able to stop in any time throughout the night to meet with any available staff member.

(MUHS) The counseling department is hosting an incoming Freshmen meeting (current 8th Graders and Class of 2029) on Thursday, February 27th from 6 PM-7 PM during Parent-Teacher Conferences in the Media Center. The counselors will cover requirements for graduation, scheduling requirements for freshman year, and other pertinent information. (MUMS) Due to the district being closed for February 20th, 2025, today will be our second E-Day lesson. Students need to check their Teams accounts or look for communication from their teachers. These lessons do count toward student attendance in each class. Any questions regarding an assignment, please contact your students teacher.
Our middle school students worked with kindergarten and preschool students while studying low and Feilds stages of artistic development. They worked together to create Valentines. Through this interaction, middle school students were able to see the various stages from scribble, pre-schematic and schematic stages of art. These stages indicate milestones in a child’s development as far as being ready to read and write. Stages also indicate fine motor skills.

We will be hosting a Valentine's Day Dance on Friday, February 14 from 3:00-5:00pm in the cafeteria. Admission is $5.00 and payable at the door. Snacks will be available at the door. Please attend and watch Mr. Lane do his best version of the 'Electric Slide.'
20 of our MUMS students were inducted into The National Junior Honor Society this morning! A ceremony was held in the gymnasium where students pledged to uphold the NJHS characteristics of "Leadership, Citizenship, Character and Scholarship." 'Mr. K' always puts his students first and is extremely organized and diligent in preparing to teach his science lessons each day. His classroom management skills are excellent, his expectations for student performance are extremely high, and his students are engaged in learning from bell to bell.
