Tomorrow, our Seniors who are currently at Milton-Union High School will be participating in Manufacturing Day. MVCTC Seniors are to attend their regularly scheduled classes at MVCTC. This is giving our students an opportunity to tour local manufacturing facilities with three different companies in Troy, Ohio: Peak Foods, Hobart Institute of Welding Technology, and Clopay. These companies have a wide array of jobs that require different types of academic and skill level. Each stop will have safety guidelines that students will need to follow but specifically students need to wear closed toed shoes, no heels, sandals, or flip flops and wear appropriate clothing for a manufacturing workplace. Lunch will be provided for students at their final destination. Students are to report to school at normal time. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Mr. Moore a High School Counselor, at mooreb@muschools.com or 937-884-7952.

Tomorrow, students in grades 9-11 will take the PSAT/NMSQT, a practice version of the SAT exam. MVCTC Juniors have the option of taking the test or reporting to MVCTC for their regularly scheduled classes. The test is digital, so students will need to have their devices fully charged. Students are allowed to bring a snack and water for testing. Cell phones will be turned in at the beginning of the test per College Board rules, but students will get them back after the test.
Once students have completed the exam, students who can secure a ride home will be released, and students who need to ride the bus home will be provided lunch and work in study hall until bussing is available. Students will need to sign-out in the front office if they are leaving early. Please contact the high school at 937-884-7940 with any questions.
