A Message for Remind Users...

Several teachers, staff members, coaches, advisers, and parent/guardian organizations use Remind as a tool to increase the ease, amount, and frequency of communication.  The Milton-Union Schools recently received the following message from Remind affecting Verizon users.

We’re writing to let you know about a service disruption that will affect people in your district who use Remind for communication. Because of a new fee that Verizon is charging Remind, text notifications will be ending for Verizon Wireless customers who use our free service. You can learn more about the situation here.

Starting on Monday, January 28, anyone at your district who has Verizon Wireless as their phone carrier will no longer receive text notifications for Remind messages.

To continue receiving messages, they can download the mobile app or enable email notifications for their accounts.

Our team is fighting to keep communication accessible for all of users, regardless of their phone carriers. In the meantime, we want to make sure that this transition goes as smoothly as possible for your community.

Please note:  The links are active in the message above, so if you are interested in downloading the mobile app or adjusting your notifications, directions are available.  We will work to provide updates as new information becomes available.
