Last fall, with assistance from a lot of really great people, the district organized several "Coffee Chats" at local businesses and homes in our attendance area.  We are forever grateful to community members who helped organize these events, opened their homes, and hosted fellow Bulldogs for an evening of rich discussion and fellowship!

In the same spirit, we would like to invite any parents, guardians, caregivers, business partners, residents, etc. to this year’s slate of Coffee Chats.  On the following dates, the Milton-Union Schools Board of Education will be open from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. to the members of our public seeking answers to questions, just interested in learning more, and/or having a great discussion about aspects of our process with select staff members and superintendent.

When convenient in your schedule, feel free to arrive at any time between 6:00 and 7:30 p.m., somewhat like “open office hours.”  Meaning, you do not necessarily need to arrive at 6:00 p.m. in order to participate.  We are located at 7610 Milton-Potsdam Road.  Feel free to park in or around the Board of Education parking lot, and our plan will be to meet in the Board of Education Conference Room.  If we outgrow the space, we will move to a classroom or the Media Center, and signage will be posted to inform attendees.  What a potentially GREAT problem to solve, and we hope to schedule more dates as needed in March, April, and May.  (Please Note:  If school, after school events, and/or extracurricular activities are canceled on any of the above dates due to inclement weather, the evening Coffee Chat will also be canceled.)

Like last fall, there will be no set agenda.  The agenda will be created in the moment by those in attendance.  In so doing, we may not always have the immediate answers to your questions, but our hope is to create another avenue of two-way communication fostering a constant stream of ideas to improve the student experience at Milton-Union Schools!

So, please consider joining us for coffee and a chat!

Thank you!
