HB 410 Update
Brad Ritchey

Beginning with the current school year, Ohio updated its truancy law known commonly across the state as House Bill 410.  All Ohio schools are mandated to enforce this new legislation.  Positive school attendance is vital for academic success. We view parents, guardians, and caregivers as partners in maintaining and improving student attendance.  We prioritize reducing truancy through ongoing cooperation with students, parents, and guardians.  Together, we remain diligent in investigating the cause of student absences and use of strict guidelines for tardiness and unexcused absences.  If you have questions regarding truancy law and/or attendance policies/procedures, please contact your child's respective building administrator(s).
