Milton-Union Elementary School was dealing with an unauthorized vehicle and three unauthorized visitors in the staff parking lot. When prompted by staff members, the driver moved the vehicle from a no parking area to one of the staff spaces near the Lowry Complex and facing the school building. The driver and passenger were both female estimated in their 20s. Soon after moving the vehicle, a man (also estimated in his 20s) walked out of the Lowry Complex wearing black shorts and a black t-shirt carrying a backpack. He climbed in the vehicle, and all exited our parking lot leaving school grounds. Officer Todd Daley from the West Milton PD was on scene and has checked school grounds and the surrounding area. After consulting with our Operations Manager, Sheriff Deputy Davidson, Officer Daley, Mrs. Henderson, and members of the classified staff, we perceive this as a non-threatening circumstance, and we are proceeding with the remainder of today’s schedule as usual. We appreciate how observant our classified staff members were in seeing and communicating this situation.
