Congratulations to Alan Limke, K-5 STEM Teacher at Milton-Union Elementary School who recently applied for and was named a "Sphero Hero." Sphero Heroes is a Sphero Edu ambassador program designed to celebrate creative teachers around the world. Sphero Edu created the ambassador program to bring more attention to the great work STEM teachers do to transform teaching and learning using Sphero robots in their classrooms.
According to the Sphero website, the goal of the Heroes program is to help "innovative teachers share their stories more loudly." Sphero Edu involves STEM-based resources that "weave hardware, software, and community engagement to promote student skills like problem-solving and critical thinking." The program's resources and activities are designed to push students beyond code-writing. For more information on Sphero Edu and the Sphero Heroes Ambassador Program, please visit their website.
Mr. Limke has certainly "changed the game" in his classroom! Using materials and activities like Sphero robots, Mr. Limke promotes student creativity and innovation. He simply keeps finding new strategies to make learning fun for students! We appreciate Mr. Limke's initiative in seeking this designation through Sphero Edu! #BeyondCode #CreatingAwesome #BulldogPride
